Configure Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication adds an extra security step to your FreshPerf account.

Once enabled, a code from your authenticator app may be required in addition to your password.

1. Open security settings

  1. Sign in to your client area.
  2. Click Settings in the left-hand menu.
  3. Find the Security section.
  4. Next to Two-factor authentication, click Configure 2FA.

2. Configure your authenticator app

Follow the steps shown on screen.

The setup generally requires you to:

  1. open a TOTP-compatible authenticator app.
  2. scan the QR code or enter the setup key manually.
  3. enter the temporary code generated by the app.
  4. confirm activation.

Examples of compatible apps include Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 2FAS and Aegis.

3. Save recovery codes

If FreshPerf displays recovery codes, store them in a secure place.

They can be required if you lose access to your phone or authenticator app.

Do not store recovery codes in the same place as your account password.

4. Test the login

Sign out, then sign back in to confirm that two-factor authentication works correctly.

If you lose access to your 2FA app

Use a recovery code if you have one.

If you no longer have any available verification method, contact FreshPerf support and follow the account recovery process.
